*Please note: The general directions listed below may differ from the specific linked routes above. The links above will take guests to their specific parking gate which corresponds with their seating location.
The tollgates are staffed with parking personnel beginning several hours prior to the scheduled first pitch. The specific time depends on the anticipated attendance. Please remember that all parking and game tickets must be purchased in advance.
All tollgates and roads used to access Kauffman Stadium will also be open to accommodate traffic exiting the Truman Sports Complex, and guests will be directed out of the complex via access roads that are nearest to their parking lot. Simply put, you will be asked to exit the same way that you entered.
The Royals remain committed to the needs of our guests, especially those who may need a little extra help getting around the ballpark, and exceed the number of disabled parking spaces required by the ADA. In addition, there is an increased number of shuttles available to help transport guests to the Stadium gates, and Royals staff is present at all gates to assist guests.
The courtesy golf cart shuttles will operate for each of the Royals 81 home games, shuttling guests needing assistance from the Truman Sports Complex parking lots to the Kauffman Stadium gates. Prior to and during the game, Guest Ambassadors provide shuttle service for guests from the parking lots. Please let your nearest parking attendant know if you are in need of golf cart assistance, or guests may call the Gameday Assistance Hotline (816-504-4040, option #5) once parked. After the event, cart shuttles pick up guests requiring assistance from all Gates (A, B, C, D, and E) to the parking lots. All cart shuttles will drop off on the perimeter of the parking lots. Courtesy cart pick up locations are available at all Gates and will transport guests with disabilities to their vehicles. Please feel free to visit any Guest Services office for additional assistance or questions.
On July 1, 2022, the department implemented virtual parking permits for faculty, staff and students. The virtual parking system allows you to use your license plate number as your parking permit.More Info
The SFMTA has transitioned RPP time limit enforcement to License Plate Recognition (LPR). With LPR technology, enforcement vehicles read license plate numbers as they drive through neighborhoods, checking in real time if vehicles have a permit. Any vehicle without a permit is flagged by the LPR system. A Parking Control Officer will verify that a vehicle has violated the parking rules before issuing a citation.
SFMTA policies regarding the use of LPR technology for parking enforcement is in full compliance with state and local laws on the use of surveillance technology. All images obtained through the LPR system, with the exception of those associated with a violation, are automatically purged after seven days. Images associated with a violation will be purged after 365 days. Access to images will be limited to authorized vendor support staff and SFMTA employees for the purpose of citation processing, payment and review.
UT Dallas is now utilizing virtual permits for all parking options on campus. This system utilizes License Plate Recognition (LPR [License Plate Recognition] ) and will identify your vehicle by its license plate. This system removes the need for physical stickers and allows all permit holders to easily add and maintain vehicles on their accounts.
It is essential that all vehicle information is kept up-to-date to avoid receiving an unnecessary citation. Please log into your parking account to update your information immediately after any change to your license plate or vehicle. In the event that you drive a different vehicle to campus, you will also need to ensure that it is currently registered to your permit.
A permit can be purchased as soon as a customer has access to their Parking Account. Commuter students, faculty, and staff may park in Green parking without a permit from the first day of class until Census Day. This grace period only applies to the Fall and Spring semesters. The Summer semester requires a permit at all times. On-campus residents may park in their respective housing lot without a permit from the scheduled University Housing move-in dates until Census Day. With the exception of the Grace period for Green and housing areas, all other parking areas will be enforced throughout the year.
Parking permits may not be purchased, transferred or obtained from any source or party other than the UT Dallas Parking and Transportation Office. Displaying or registering a parking permit that belongs to another customer is strictly prohibited and may lead to vehicle immobilization and additional fees and penalties.
If you own a current parking permit for UT Arlington or UT Southwestern Medical Center students, faculty or staff, please bring in your receipt for that permit to the Parking Office to get a permit that will allow you to park in a comparable level based on your original purchase price.
If you are a student who is graduating or leaving the University at the end of the Fall semester, you may request to cancel (deactivate) your parking permit privileges on or before the Spring Census Day for a prorated refund. If you are withdrawing from the University or decide you no longer need your permit, you may return the permit within 30 days from the date of purchase for a full refund.
Students who move between University Village Apartments, Canyon Creek Heights Apartments orUniversity Commons Residence Halls must request to exchange their current parking permit for the permit appropriate for their new residence; this exchange is free of charge. Students transitioning between commuter and on-campus resident must also request to exchange their permit. This permit will be assigned for a permit of equal value, free of charge.
If you are a faculty or staff member, you may request to cancel (deactivate) your parking permit privileges if you are exiting the University or decide you no longer need your permit. You may inquire about your eligibility for a prorated refund based on your original permit purchase method. Please note that for permits purchased via Payroll Deduction, we deduct from your paycheck the month after the service use so you may not qualify for a refund.
To use one of the Accessible parking spaces on campus, you must already own a State of Texas Accessible license plate/placard, and you must purchase a UT Dallas Accessible permit. When purchasing your permit:
If Accessible spaces are not available, anyone with a state-issued C or Disabled Veterans plate that features the International Symbol of Access (ISA [International Symbol of Access] ), or a state-issued Accessible placard, and displaying a UTD permit (either an Accessible parking permit or visitor pass), may park in any available non-reserved parking space or metered parking space at no additional cost.
Per SB 792 (PDF [Portable Document Format File] ), as of January 1, 2022, anyone parking in an Accessible parking space must have an Accessible license plate or an Accessible parking placard that features the International Symbol of Access (ISA [International Symbol of Access] ). Currently, disabled veteran license plates do not feature the ISA. Texans with disabled veteran license plates wishing to use Accessible parking spaces in 2022 may apply for an Accessible parking placard or for a new disabled veteran license plate featuring the ISA. The veteran must meet the eligibility requirements for an Accessible parking placard or Accessible person license plate featuring the ISA. Not all disabilities that qualify a veteran for disabled veteran license plates will qualify a veteran for a disabled veteran license plate featuring the ISA.
