To access AMT, you need to download the latest Hiren's Boot CD. You download the latest version of the boot CD from the Hiren's website http://www.hirens.com/en/pc-hardware/hbio/download: Below is the release notes. Below the release notes are the changes from version 14.0
Intel ME provides functions that support the secure booting of the platform, hardware DRM, secure loading of firmware for other components, security services such as TPM, and out-of-band platform management. The out-of-band management is handled by Intel AMT (Active Management Technology), a feature set that can be enabled in Intel ME that includes a network stack and the ability to access the computer as long it receives power (e.g. the computer can be turned off or suspended, however, the embedded controller still receives power to enable remote management or even a full rebuild of the computer). When you buy an Intel-based computer with the vPro label it means some additional Intel firmware components such as AMT are present in the system. Some of these features work transparently, but others, like AMT, have additional configurations. AMT can be enabled vs disabled and can also be enabled, but not yet provisioned.
There are other settings that can make the environment respond differently to the boot. The IntelDrivers.ini file determines the behavior of each component on the system. The IntelDrivers.ini settings also control how the computer responds to various settings such as Fast or secure boot and the ability to enable or disable Intel's Trusted Execution Technology (TXT). With the boot CD you can change settings in a number of files to configure the booting of the computer. From Version 14.0 of the Hirens Boot CD, each of these files is available:
"IntelDrivers.ini" controls the behavior of the components when running the Hirens Boot CD. Generally, the settings in this file are the default settings for the "lab" space in the BIOS. Most of the settings have reasonable defaults for testing but you may want to modify them to reflect the environment you are working on. To open the file, go to: d2c66b5586
