Story
In the movie, the first half hour or so of the DVD is a documentary on the Maiden crew and the experience of the Maiden crew. This includes interviews with the fans, the band, and crew (as well as the wives and girlfriends of the band) about their experience at each show and the tour. There is obviously some editing to put in and take out scenes, but it doesn't impact the flow of the documentary. The interviewees are asked about their expectations for the show, how they felt (and dressed) at each show, and a few random thoughts about the band and the experience. In addition to the interviews with the band and crew, there are interviews with the fan club representatives in each city as well as the Maiden crew. This is a great way to get the fans' stories about the tour and the play and how much of a part Maiden played in the experience in each city. The band is shown in very small bits during the documentary, and the interviewees don't talk about the band much. Don't take this for granted, though. There are some short and sweet interviews with Brian Brazil and Steve Harris about the plans for the band after this tour. After the first half hour or so the documentary takes a few different shapes. While the band is in India, they are shown interacting with fans and touring with the crew during their downtime. This includes taking a phone call from some fans in the middle of the night, talking about the past and how it has impacted their lives. It's a touching moment. Shortly after, the crew and Maiden are sent on their way back home. There are some wonderful interview snippets with the crew (including one with Steve Harris in a bathroom) about the feeling of being back in England, the excitement of the songs played, and some thoughts about the tour and what they will do next. The band comes in next, only briefly. Maiden is shown having a fun time with the crew before they get on the plane. Steve Harris and Brian Brazil talk about how much the crew enjoys their job and the fans and how they have treated the band as well as the crew like family. 827ec27edc
