The restaurant owner recognizes Ted is the man who stole his blue French horn,[1] Ted runs away, but runs into a waiter, food getting all over Robin and him. The restaurant owner forces Ted to return the blue French horn in order to get his credit card and driver's license back. They go to Robin's apartment, and Robin discusses that she does not want to settle down, and that she has always wanted to travel the world, going to places such as Argentina. Ted also expresses this desire, saying that he wished he had studied abroad for a year while at college and claiming that Argentina also needs architects. Since he just finished a big project at work (the Seattle project), he feels that now is as good a time as ever to travel the world. Barney is again disgusted by this idea, not on the terms of their relationship, but due to concerns of his being lonely in New York and Argentina being economically unstable.
Church, upon hearing this, voices concern. Tucker asks on what he plans to do. Church, being in possession of Lopez's body, tells him no way, stating that he had just gotten his new body. He then tells the Reds that Lopez is not with them anymore, and ask if they would like to take their medic, Doc, as \"hostage\" instead. Doc tells him he is supposed to go to Red Team anyway. Simmons agrees to the deal, but Grif thinks they can hold out for something much better than a medic. He is then reminded by Simmons that they are out of ammo and therefore cannot. Grif then agrees to the deal, telling Sarge to take the offer.
As Quark terminates the transmission, Odo shuts off the camera feed and he and Bashir walk out to the Promenade. Odo explains to Bashir that the Obsidian Order is \"the ever-vigilant eyes and ears of the Cardassian Empire.\" Common knowledge is that one cannot sit down to a meal on Cardassia without the Order noting each course; Bashir wonders what happens to people who eat something that is \"not in agreement\" with the Order, and Odo notes that people have \"disappeared\" for less. The Order's ruthlessness and efficiency are without measure, topping even the Romulan Tal Shiar. Bashir supposes that the Order put the device in Garak's brain, but Odo is more interested in why Garak wants to get his hands on another one. Garak may want to find a way to remove the device, but there is no way to know for sure without asking Garak himself. Bashir thanks Odo for his help and enters the infirmary as Odo resumes his patrol. Upon entering the infirmary, he queries the computer on Garak's condition. He is surprised to find out from the computer that Garak is no longer in the infirmary. Checking Garak's bed, all he finds is Garak's discarded hospital gown. Bashir then leaves to locate Garak.
Garak tells Bashir that he never wants the implant turned on again, and while Bashir empathizes, he is unsure of what else he can do. On hearing this, Garak gratefully assures the doctor that he has already done more than the Cardassian deserves. Garak announces that he wants to tell Bashir the truth, something Bashir has given up on finding. \"Oh, don't give up on me now, doctor. Patience has its rewards,\" Garak replies softly. The truth is that Elim was not Garak's aide but his friend, closer to him than a brother. The two of them were powerful members of the Obsidian Order, referred to by many as the \"sons of Tain\" and feared by even the guls. When a scandal erupted over the release of several Bajoran prisoners, there were rumors of who would be implicated, and as Tain had retired to the Arawath Colony by then, he was unable to protect Garak. Panicking, Garak altered records and planted files in an attempt to frame Elim. However, only then did he discover that Elim had beat him to the punch. When Garak was subsequently exiled, he admits he deserved it, not for the reasons the government claimed, but for betraying his best friend. He confides in the doctor that he needs to know someone forgives him, which Bashir does, acknowledging for both of them that Garak is a good man despite past wrongdoings. Finally at ease, Garak falls asleep peacefully. Bashir informs Jabara that he plans to leave and will return within 52 hours, intending to \"find the man responsible for this.\"
\"I've brought you something.\"\"What is it\"\"Meditations on a Crimson Shadow by Preloc.\"\"More Cardassian literature.\"\"I think you'll find this one more to your tastes. It takes place in the future during a time when Cardassia and the Klingon Empire are at war.\"\"Who wins\"\"Who do you think\"\"Never mind; Don't tell me. I don't want you to spoil the ending.\"
Olivia, Walter, and Peter return home successfully. Peter tells Walter that he can't see everything from Walter's perspective yet, but Walter traveled into another universe twice to save him, which counts for something, so Peter forgives him. Olivia is revealed to actually be Fauxlivia infiltrating our side when she arrives at a typewriter communication station to await orders. The Olivia from our world is then seen in a military detention center on the Other Side. Walternate visits her, cruelly staring at her without speaking before leaving her in the dark isolation of solitary confinement.
Walter: Peter... you are back now, aren't you You're--you're not leaving againPeter: I'm trying to see this your way, Walter. I can't. But... you did cross universes twice to save my life. So that's gotta count for something, rightWalter: Thank you, Peter. (Peter leaves) My son.
Fauxlivia: What's she likePeter: WhoFauxlivia: Me.Peter: She's a lot like you. Darker in the eyes, maybe. She's always trying to make up for something. Right some imaginary wrong. Haunted, I guess. (pauses) Maybe she's nothing like you at all.
Terry, Amy, Rosa and Gina manage to show Dr Susman the schoolchildren actually learned a lot about forensic crime and she is impressed to hear the children speak of their new knowledge. She agrees to take Terry's daughters off the school waitlist. Ray, Jake and Charles arrive at the barn where D'Angelo is suspected to be hiding. The trio (along with the tactical squad) enter the barn but are disappointed to find D'Angelo's dead body, realising Bludsoe played them. Jake phones the hospital and finds out Reggie has escaped, leaving Ray enraged. Jake tells Ray he is too fixated on Wuntch to appreciate how big the case is. Ray agrees and notes that because he had a lowly job in his previous station's public relations department, he's putting too much pressure on himself to be perfect. He is able to clear his mind and solves the mystery of Bludsoe's whereabouts with Jake. Ray, Jake and Charles then get back in the chopper and pursue Bludsoe. Ray, Charles and Jake bust Bludsoe in the basement of the coffee shop he took a job at, and find the safe with the stolen $21 million. Back at the station, Jake and Charles get photographed in front of the recovered stolen cash. Ray almost believes Wuntch when she says she's impressed with him, until he realises she wanted something from his success all along. She tells him she's relocating him to another job: NYPD public relations.
Barney: Oh, my God. You guys broke up. You guys broke up. I can't believe it.Ted: Barney, story's not over.[flashback to the restaurant:]Robin: Can we please not talk about this here. Can we go homeTed: Yeah, of course. Uh, excuse me, I'm sorry about this. Can we actually...Waiter: Oh, my God, it's you.Ted: Wha... WhatWaiter: You're the son of a bitch who stole our blue French horn.Ted: Run!
The second floor of the tower, along with untold thousands of cockroaches, held a series of old family portraits of the Wittgensteins. There was something particularly disturbing about the portrait of the family patriarch, baron Lothar von Wittgenstein; his skin was oddly shiny, he seemed to be hiding something under his doublet, and he had strangely pronounced and blackened canines. The others looked more normal.
Michael sobs as he is torn from Walt again and Ms. Klugh takes advantage of this by requesting something else. She gives Michael a list with four names on, telling him that he must also bring them all these four people, otherwise he'll never see Walt again. Michael agrees, looking at the list, which has the names of Jack, Kate, Hurley, and \"James Ford.\" A confused Michael says he doesn't know a James Ford, and Ms. Klugh explains that Michael knows him as Sawyer. However, Michael has his own demand, saying that if he does all this for them, he also wants their boat.
Eko is in the Hatch and notes the magnetic property near the wall just as the timer hits the four-minute mark. Eko sits at the computer and enters the Numbers, which return to 108 minutes. Charlie enters the dome and asks what Eko has been doing. Eko asks Charlie to bring his things from the beach to the Hatch because he's moving in. Charlie is concerned about the church, and Eko tells him that \"I am supposed to do something different now.\" Charlie declines Eko's request to get his things from the beach. 59ce067264
